Blinds are great for allowing light in and keeping wandering eyes out they are also great at catching dust and where there is dust there is also dust mites microscopic bugs that feed off your delicious dead skin cells then bugs are like yay we got us a buffet and they are more than likely crawling around in your home right now as I speak this is a scientific fact another scientific fact is that they could cause people to have allergic reactions like sneezing runny nose and if it gets bad enough asthma wheezing and difficulty breathing.
Come to clean your blinds. The level 1 clean is the maintenance clean, the level 2 clean is deep clean so if they are really dirty they have a layer of dust on this about that thick you know that’s when you have gone with a level 2 cleaning.
- the level one cleaning get something like this Swiffer duster only for dusting blinds but just for dusting the entire house in general pop it on it goes on very easily take it up top to bottom left to right start dusting your blinds and all the dust is gonna stay right in this Swiffer duster.
- If you have wide Custom blinds in Arizona you can do half and then do the other half but small blinds we don’t have to worry about that.thick don’t try to dust it with Swiffer duster don’t try to dust with anything because you are just gonna send the dust into the air and you are gonna make a giant mess also you don’t want to get some kind of damp cloth and try to wipe the dust off because then you will just create a mud that will be really hard to get off no what you need to do this you need to vacuum the blinds with some kind of brush attachment I use a backpack vacuum cleaner this is what I use in my business whenever I come across blinds and you know are that dusty so vacuum them first and then we will move one to part of this level to clean
- Part 2 of this level 2 cleaning what you need to do is ge4t a bucket of water fill it up warm water put you a little bit dish soap in a few drops and then get you a microfiber cloth dip in the water wring it out and you are just gonna hand wipe each blade one by one its pretty simple just you grab it clean it both sides.

- Now flap it back so what we are going now in this edge we are going to watch the edge it was underneath on the first pass because this is the front of the blind this is the part that gets the dirtiest so you are going to get this we are basically washing it to get this edge and then o f course the soap had some time to work on it so there was anything that on there that wasn’t coming off usually this passable it will just come right off with the brush with soap make sure that under there all right so now that’s a clean blind the dirt body as you rinse all the soap and dirt off.
- I usually grab the bottom with my right hand you can have the bottom of the blind with my right hand and the top with my left I bring it off and then I will flip it all sideways bring it around over here to the other side of the truck I will hang it you want to make sure you put it through where there is a router all the cords they put that other end up on this in we are letting it drip dry or let the excess water drip off of it right now then turn it back .
Make sure all the veins are separated and that’s the reason, because we don’t want any of these veins to be stuck together because if they dry that way they will feel when you unstuck them then you are going to peel the pant off the back of each main customers happy so sometime you have a little bunch of them that are stuck together and kind of give it a little shake and then I will help them break free come loose so you get them all straight and then then actuate it a little bit to open everything out and get everything lined up work should be bored now that’s ready to hang there until it’s completely dry and we reinstall it into the window so that’s how you can clean a blind.
